With thousands of Unboxholics fans, and not to mention our brand sponsor, Germanos, and the slew of guest creators who came out to support Unboxholics, it is safe to say that their first live event in Athens on March 18, was nothing short than energetic, loud and a great success!
The event was attended by a sea of 3,000 Unboxholics fans, some of whom arrived at the venue as early as 10am! That’s 7 hours before Unboxholics came on stage. Most of those without a ticket (that’s around 3,000 fans on top of those who were in the venue) were almost certain that they wouldn’t be able to enter the venue, and yet they still waited outside for a chance to get a glimpse of their favourite tech and gaming creators. And because Unboxholics do not disappoint, half an hour before the live event, the Unboxholics brothers braced the crowds to greet those who were so passionately chanting outside the venue.
Fast forward to 5pm. Enter Unboxholics on stage. Crowd goes wild. Or actually WILD. For the next 4 hours after that, Unboxholics did not seize to amaze their fans, and us alike. The whole Digital Minds team was backstage watching in awe, mesmerized at how Unboxholics entertained and most importantly engaged with their fans. The live rolled with a Playstation battle, games with some of their fans joining them onstage, a dance party led by none other than the whole Unboxholics team, guest creators who came to share their dose of comedy, and what we have all agreed to call the highlight of the night, the epic light party where more than 3,000 phones lit the venue after a technial mishap.

And yes, a slight mishap led to the highlight which showed how Unboxholics fans coming together created something so powerful. The whole event was livestreamed, and was in the number 1 trending spot on YouTube Greece the very same day. As this post goes live, the live stream is still trending at #1.
It truly comes as no exaggeration but depicting in words, the energy, vibe and fandom that took over the event, was no mean feat.
